Great fun coming to Hollister I really enjoyed the feeling of community that I received upon arrival. I had really friendly billets and I really enjoyed experiencing the mixed Portuguese and Mexican cultures of my host family.

I enjoyed the race yesterday and it was really interesting to run with people from another country. The football game and the haka were other highlights for me too.

The people at Hollister were really friendly. Enjoyed doing the Haka at the air jam and doing the Hollister invitational race was hard but it was awesome racing in the desert.

Performing the haka at the 'Air Jam' was epic, the people of Hollister were amazed! We should've taken out first place- Esterhuizen
Asher, Kyle, Ali, Henry and I were all billeted to an awesome family from Hollister. They weren't as wealthy as previous billets we'd had in Southern California, where I would walk in and compliment our hosts on their amazing house. In Hollister with the billets we had, I was able to say honestly, "you have a beautiful home". - T. Batts
Hollister was completely different to the other schools that we have visited so far.The football game was a great experience and showed us how strong their school spirit was, even though they lost 26-6... The race was definitely different to the conditions we race in back home in NZ, was very tough in the heat, makes me appreciate the cold in NZ- Henry Watt
Hollister was more like home compared to previous schools, the race at the earthquake invitational was hard but also a different experience racing in the desert. Being billeted was very different in a good way as it gave me a different experience to what I had in the previous billets - James Grieve
Hollister was crazy insane. Our 5 man team got 3rd. Air jam was insane

The people In Hollister are much more friendly random people just coming up and introducing themselves to the AGS students. In my opinion Hollister has been so much fun. - M.Haycock
It's been a great time in Hollister. Loved the cooler weather and the warmth and friendliness of the local people. We actually got to try real Mexican food pretty much every single day.- Shannon Perera
Had a great time in Hollister, people were so friendly, I meet so many new people that I will remember forever. K.Madgwick
I loved Hollister because it had a really relaxed feel that reminded me of New Zealand. It was a completely different place to the ones we have visited already, but people were still very friendly and I made some friends I'll never forget

Hollister was awesome. The family we stayed with were great! The race went well as well i dropped 20 seconds off my last time and it was really hot. Probably the best stop yet. - Ryan
Hollister has been a great experience from everyone, over the last couple days we've had more of a chance to get to know our billets and the SB cross-country team 'better than the other schools through a student-run pool party and most guys heading out to the corn maize later on. People here are a lot more down-to-earth: it will be hard to forget my experience staying in a Mexican daycare!
